Flycatchers

What may be the final walk around the patch this morning before flying back to the very cold UK produced a cracking male Mugimaki Flycatcher, as well as the female Yellow-rumped Flycatcher and a Chestnut-winged Cuckoo.

Eastern Stonechats
Wintering passerines still present included 6 Brown Shrike, 2 Black-naped Oriole, 2 Taiga Flycatcher, male Siberian Rubythroat, 6 Eastern Stonechat, 20 Sand Martin, 150 Eurasian Swallow, one Red-rumped Swallow, 19 Black-browed and 26 Oriental Reed Warbler, one Lanceolated, 3 Pallas's Grasshopper and 17 Dusky Warbler, 4 Red-throated Pipit and 2 White and 6 Eastern Yellow Wagtail.

The first returning Black Bittern was also noted along with a Watercock, 2 Cotton Pygmy Geese, 7 Little-ringed Plover, 10 Wood Sandpiper, Bhraminy Kite, 50 Baya and 6 Golden Weaver and two Red Avadavat.
